You have to come down to Newberg Animal Shelter to adopt any dog or cat. We have to make sure that all of our animals make it into the right home. This site is only informational and you’ll still need to make the trip to our shelter if you would like to adopt one our animals. We thank you for understanding and so do our animals.

Meet Clam Chowder!
If you’re looking for a best friend who believes there’s no such thing as too many cuddles, Clam Chowder is ready to apply for the job!
This sweet mixed-breed puppy is the definition of a velcro dog. She loves being close to her people, whether that means following you from room to room, curling up beside you for a nap, or happily soaking up every bit of affection you’re willing to give. Snuggles are her love language, and she’s always happy to return them with plenty of puppy kisses.
We believe Clam Chowder may grow into a large dog, possibly with some Ridgeback and Black Mouth Cur in her family tree. That means she’ll thrive with a family ready to invest in training, socialization, and plenty of exercise as she grows into her big, beautiful self. With her eager-to-please personality and loving nature, she’s sure to make an incredible lifelong companion.
Like all puppies, Clam Chowder is still learning the ropes and will need patience as she masters potty training, basic manners, and all the important life skills that help puppies become wonderful adult dogs. In return, you’ll get to watch her blossom into a loyal, affectionate companion who will always be happiest right by your side.

Our open hours are Monday – Saturday 11am-6pm, Sunday 11am-4pm (Summer hours). Adoptions end one hour prior to close.
The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, ID microchip, and current vaccinations. They have been wormed, de-flead, socialized and given lots of love.
