You have to come down to Newberg Animal Shelter to adopt any dog or cat. We have to make sure that all of our animals make it into the right home. This site is only informational and you’ll still need to make the trip to our shelter if you would like to adopt one our animals. We thank you for understanding and so do our animals.

Meet Diogi!
Don’t let the name fool you—Diogi (pronounced D-O-G) is as lovable as they come! This handsome yellow Labrador Retriever is a happy-go-lucky guy with a heart as big as his smile.
Diogi has never met a stranger and believes everyone is a potential best friend, which sometimes gets him a bit over-excited. Whether you’re stopping to say hello or heading out on an adventure, he’s always ready to tag along with his signature Lab enthusiasm. One of his absolute favorite things is going for car rides, especially when he gets to stick his head out the window and enjoy the breeze with a big goofy grin.
Like many Labs, Diogi is full of energy and is looking for an active family that can keep up with his zest for life. He’ll thrive with daily walks, hikes, playtime, or other adventures that help keep both his body and mind busy. He’s still polishing up his leash manners and can be quite the puller when he’s excited, so he’ll benefit from continued positive reinforcement training and a family committed to helping him become the best walking buddy he can be.

Our open hours are Monday – Saturday 11am-6pm, Sunday 11am-4pm (Summer hours). Adoptions end one hour prior to close.
The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, ID microchip, and current vaccinations. They have been wormed, de-flead, socialized and given lots of love.
