You have to come down to Newberg Animal Shelter to adopt any dog or cat. We have to make sure that all of our animals make it into the right home. This site is only informational and you’ll still need to make the trip to our shelter if you would like to adopt one our animals. We thank you for understanding and so do our animals.

Meet Echidna!
After raising a litter of kittens and being a wonderful mama, it’s finally Echidna’s turn to be the one who is loved and cared for.
This sweet, gentle girl has a kind heart and enjoys spending time with people, but she’s also an independent spirit who appreciates having room to stretch her legs and satisfy her curiosity. Echidna isn’t a fan of being confined to small spaces and is happiest when she has the freedom to explore her surroundings at her own pace. Whether she’s investigating a new corner of the house or following you from room to room, this curious little lady loves to know what’s going on.
Now that her kittens are ready to start their own adventures, Echidna is looking for a forever home where she can finally relax, be pampered, and enjoy all the attention she deserves. If you’re looking for a sweet companion who will happily explore life by your side, Echidna may be the perfect match.

We focus on finding the best match for adoptable animals and their forever homes.
Our open hours are Monday – Saturday 11am-6pm, Sunday 11am-4pm (Summer hours). Adoptions end one hour prior to close.
The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, ID microchip, and current vaccinations. They have been wormed, de-flead, socialized and given lots of love.
