Quincy – Sponsored by Deborah Howard
Quincy – Sponsored by Deborah Howard has found her forever home!
Quincy is sponsored by Deborah Howard.
Quincy is one of our long-term residents here at the shelter. She is a very sweet cat, who can be shy with new people, but is very lovey with her friends! Will you be her forever home?
***Notes from her Foster***
Getting Quincy to trust and like you does take time. She loves spending most of her morning and afternoon in her cozy pet bed. In the evening she will eat her wet food and socialize with us. She spends most of the evening on our laps getting petted. She is a beautiful cat with soft fur. Keeps herself very clean. We enjoyed having her in our home very much. It is the first time we fostered a cat.
Things to know
Hold her close in against your body and talk softly to her and pet her. She quickly started coming to us after that for pets and attention.
Likes to look out the windows and gets excited and chirps when she sees birds.
Has never jumped up on counters and tables. Does not bother house plants.
Does not seem to know what a scratching post is. She may learn while watching other cats using it. She uses the small throw rugs next to her pet bed to scratch on. Sometimes she will scratch on the wall-to-wall carpet.
Free feeds kibble during the day. Morning and evening we give her about a tablespoon of canned food. She drinks a good amount of water.
Does not like to be brushed (like most cats).
Very good with using her litter box pellets.
Plays with a few toys on her own. Does not seem to want interaction with a human for that.
We fostered Quincy for 4 months. She had her own quiet bedroom. Brought her back to the shelter because we needed the guest bedroom for a house guest who is allergic to cats.
If you are interested in meeting me, the shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday 11am – 6pm.
