Meet Avery! 🌸🐾

Avery is the smallest of the litter, but what she lacks in size she more than makes up for in heart. This female hound/terrier mix is super sweet, gentle, and quietly charming. Avery has an independent spirit and enjoys exploring her surroundings, taking in the world at her own pace.

She’s a smart little girl who comes when her name is called and shows a wonderful connection to her people. Though she’s petite, Avery is resilient—she was once bullied out of the community food bowl by her siblings, so she was lovingly fed separately to make sure she got everything she needed. Thanks to that extra care, she’s thriving and ready to find a family of her own.

Avery would do well in a home that appreciates a softer, more gentle puppy and can offer her patience, encouragement, and love. With her sweet nature and curious independence, Avery will grow into a loyal and loving companion.

Avery will be making her debut this Saturday January 24th for a puppy adoption event here at the Newberg Animal Shelter. Between 11am and 3pm come meet all of our adoptable puppies including five fifteen-week-old female hound/terrier mixes from the same litter!
