National Night Out is on August 6th, 4-7pm at Memorial Park in Newberg. We joined last year and it was a blast! It’s a family fun event and we’ll be there with a table, giving out goodies for your pup and hope to have a couple adoptable dogs join the fun with us!
The Newberg-Dundee Police Department is teaming up with community partners to create the event: Newberg Animal Shelter Friends, Newberg-Dundee Police Foundation, Kona Ice, Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.), Tyler’s Automotive and Providence.
Join us for Bark in the Park dog walk Saturday August 3rd 8:30am-11:30am Ewing Young Park in Newberg (1201 S. Blaine St.)
This is a fundraiser for Newberg Animal Shelter. All proceeds go to help build an additional fence in our yards to have more space for our shelter dogs to run and play.
There is no admission charge, but a 10.00 donation is suggested.
Stop at our booth by the picnic area to register and pick up your Newberg Animal Shelter supporter button. We will be walking the main loop (1 mile) at the park. This is a pleasant, easy, well-maintained trail. The park also has a dog park (separate sections for large and small dogs) for added fun for your dog. Give yourself about 45 minutes to complete a loop.
Water and snacks for both human and canine participants will be provided at the booth. We will also have volunteers on the trail to cheer you on and give treats to your pup. You can increase your support by getting sponsors for your walk.
If you can’t be at the event, consider doing a virtual Bark In The Park dog walk and donate via our website. In “special instructions to the seller” note that the donation is for the fence project.
Every donation helps get us closer to getting more fencing for the dogs.
