Welcome George our 2027 SpokesCat!
Meet George – 14 pounds of feline attitude whose personality is equal parts love bug and shameless manipulator. At age 17, George stays busy running through the house, sometimes batting his toys down the hall, and occasionally ending his run with a climb up one of his cat trees to survey his domain. When he’s not at play, he’ll often be at work loudly convincing us that he’s near starvation and thus in dire need of a kitty treat.
We adopted George and his brother Fred when they were 6. Fred was also an orange tabby, and we think George and Fred were named after the red-headed Weasley twins from Harry Potter. Sadly, Fred passed about 3 years ago, but George has continued to bring great joy to our home. Fred was very quiet and we joked that George was his spokesman. You could say that George was born to be a SpokesCat since he usually has a lot to say.

The SpokesPet for a year is auctioned off at our annual Wine & Whiskers event. The lucky winners gets their pet on promotional materials for the next years Wine & Whiskers event. They are shared here on the website as the official SpokeDog and SpokesCat. They receive a professional photo shoot, get a bunch of swag and pampering packages to be treated like the star they are.
