Deena recently came to Newberg Animal Shelter as a transfer from Action 4 Animals Hawaii:

Deena is a stunning black beauty with a heart as warm as her silky coat. Medium sized and full of charm, Deena is looking for her forever home where she can be loved, cherished and taken on plenty of neighborhood adventures.

Walking Enthusiast Extraordinaire! Deena’s favorite activity? Going on walks. She loves to explore the outdoors at her own pace, taking in the sights, smells and simple joys of the world. She’s an ideal match for someone who enjoys daily strolls and bonding time in the outdoors.

Car rides? Not her thing. Deena prefers the steady ground beneath her paws and the familiar comfort of being close to her people. She’s happiest when she’s nearby, lounging after a wood walk or gently nudging for affection.

Why Deena could be your perfect match? Beautiful black coat and soulful eyes. Calm and sweet with a gentle spirit. Loves walks and outdoor companionship. Prefers the comfort of home over road trips. Ready to offer love, loyalty, and lots of tail wags.

Her prior foster said “Deena loves other dogs and is adjusting well to our home. Shes such a sweet girl. You can tell she didn’t have a great start at life. She is nervous at first but warms up. She is going to make someone a great companion.”

If you are interested in meeting Deena, the shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday 11am – 6pm, Sunday 11am-4pm.
