Meet Dixie! This sweet girl is the ultimate cuddle bug—she hasn’t read the book on personal space (and never plans to). Whether you’re sitting, napping, or just trying to drink your coffee, Dixie believes every moment is a snuggle moment. She is still learning how to be the best dog she can be and will need a loving family who can teach her with patience and treats! Dixie has energy to spare and will do best in a home with children over 12 years of age. If you’re looking for a weighted blanket with legs, that has a heart as big as her smile, Dixie is your girl!

She’s done great playing with other dogs here and has shown herself to be social and playful. However, we can’t guarantee she’ll be a perfect match with every dog. As always, a meet-and-greet and slow introductions are the best way to ensure a good fit. 🐾

If you are interested in meeting me, the shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday 11am – 5pm, Sunday 11am-4pm (Winter Hours).
