National Night Out is on August 6th, 4-7pm at Memo

National Night Out is on August 6th, 4-7pm at Memorial Park in Newberg. We joined last year and it was a blast! It’s a family fun event and we’ll be there with a table, giving out goodies for your pup and hope to have a couple adoptable dogs join the fun with us!

The Newberg-Dundee Police Department is teaming up with community partners to create the event: Newberg Animal Shelter Friends, Newberg-Dundee Police Foundation, Kona Ice, Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.), Tyler’s Automotive and Providence.

"Next week is Roxie’s (formerly Mercedes) 1 year adoption anniversary. She is a very sweet and happy girl and loves everyone and every dog. She is also a very much loved and spoiled pup

She is not bothered by loud noises at all and she got to spend her 4th of July on a rooftop patio in Whitefish, Montana watching fireworks. She had a great time and said hi to every person she could and got lots of treats.

Her best friend at home is Stormy (formally Enchilada) and was also adopted from the Newberg Animal Shelter

Montana was her first big road trip. She will have many more fun road trips with dad. 🐶"

Rascal’s Adopted Pets Birthday Party fundraiser on Saturday, July 20th 11am to 5pm at Duck Pond Cellars in Dundee. Music, food, wine and fun! All dogs welcome!

Newberg Old Fashioned Festival Dog Costume Contest on Thursday, July 25th at the Cultural Stage at Renne field. Dress up your pup and share their cuteness with the community! Categories include Most Creative, Most Hilarious, Best Human & Dog Look Alike and Best in Show. Registration starts at 6:30pm, contest begins at 7:30pm.

Bark in the Park dog walk fundraiser on Saturday August 3rd, 8:30-11:30am at Ewing Young Park. This fundraiser is for adding additional fencing in the front yard of the shelter for more space outside for dogs to run and play. No admission fee, $10 suggested donation. Stop by our booth at the picnic area and pick up a Newberg Animal Shelter supporter button. Enjoy the relaxing 1 mile forest walk with your pup, right in town!
