Hi, I’m Gronk.

I’m a strong, handsome pit bull terrier mix with a loyal heart and a sensitive soul. While I may look confident and sturdy on the outside, I’m actually a thoughtful, easily overstimulated guy who does best in a calm, predictable environment.

Shelter life has been overwhelming for me. The noise and constant activity can be stressful, and when I feel overstimulated, I can become anxious. In a quiet home where I feel safe, my true personality shines — affectionate, devoted, and deeply bonded to my people.

Because of my sensitive nature, I need an experienced dog owner who understands canine body language and can advocate for me. Quick movements over my head or being abruptly woken from sleep can startle me, so I do best with slow, gentle handling and respectful interactions. Giving me space when I’m resting and approaching me calmly helps me feel secure.

For everyone’s safety and comfort, I need:
• An adult-only home
• No cats
• A calm household with predictable routines
• A securely fenced yard (I can be an escape artist if I get anxious)

In the right environment, I am incredibly loyal and loving. I form strong bonds with my people and enjoy being close once I feel safe. I’m looking for someone patient, experienced, and committed to helping me continue building confidence at my pace.
