You have to come down to Newberg Animal Shelter to adopt any dog or cat. We have to make sure that all of our animals make it into the right home. This site is only informational and you’ll still need to make the trip to our shelter if you would like to adopt one our animals. We thank you for understanding and so do our animals.

Meet Olive!
Olive is an adorable mixed breed puppy with a heart full of love and a playful spirit! We aren’t quite sure what breeds make up this sweet girl, but we suspect there may be some Pointer and sight hound mix such as Italian greyhound/Whippet. Olive loves cuddles, playtime, and exploring the world around her with puppy curiosity and enthusiasm.
Like any puppy, Olive is still learning all the important dog basics and will need a family ready to commit to training, socialization, patience, and consistency as she grows. Puppyhood comes with plenty of fun and laughter, but also a little chaos, too — think zoomies, toy explosions, potty training, and the occasional chewed shoe! Olive is looking for a family ready to embrace both the adorable moments and the work that comes with raising a puppy. In return, she promises lots of love, snuggles, and happy tail wags.
If you are interested in meeting Olive, the shelter is open Monday through Saturday, 11 am – 6 pm, Sunday 11 am-4 pm (Summer Hours). Our open hours are Monday – Saturday 11am-6pm, Sunday 11am-4pm (Summer hours). Adoptions end one hour prior to close.
The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, ID microchip, and current vaccinations. They have been wormed, de-flead, socialized and given lots of love.
