River is an adventurous female hound/terrier mix who will capture your heart with her beautiful, expressive eyes and curious nature. This little girl is the explorer of the group—often the one heading off on her own to check things out and discover something new.

While River enjoys affection and will happily cuddle, she’s not one to stay still for long. She prefers adventure over lap time and is always on the lookout for her next fun experience. True to her name, River absolutely loves water! From emptying her water bowl in record time to cooling off on the top step of the pool or splashing in a kiddie pool, water play is her favorite activity.

River would thrive with a family that enjoys an active, curious puppy and is ready to embrace her playful, independent streak. With her adventurous heart and stunning looks, River is sure to grow into an incredible companion for someone who loves exploration as much as she does.

River will be making her debut this Saturday January 24th for a puppy adoption event here at the Newberg Animal Shelter. Between 11am and 3pm come meet all of our adoptable puppies including five fifteen-week-old female hound/terrier mixes from the same litter!
