You have to come down to Newberg Animal Shelter to adopt any dog or cat. We have to make sure that all of our animals make it into the right home. This site is only informational and you’ll still need to make the trip to our shelter if you would like to adopt one our animals. We thank you for understanding and so do our animals.

Meet Stormy!
Stormy has already proven she’s one tough little mama. After arriving at the shelter and quickly needing emergency surgery to safely deliver her single kitten, this brave girl has been recovering like a champ. Now that the chaos of motherhood has passed, Stormy is ready for something much more her speed: a calm home where she can be the queen she was clearly meant to be.
Stormy is a sweet but sassy lady who believes affection should always happen on her terms. When she decides it’s time for love, she’ll happily accept chin scratches, gentle pets, and admiration for her beautiful self. But she also appreciates her independence and will let you know when she’s ready to do her own thing.
Think of Stormy as the perfect mix of sugar and spice—a cat with personality, confidence, and just enough sass to keep life interesting.
Stormy would thrive with someone who understands and respects a cat’s boundaries and appreciates a companion with a little attitude and a lot of charm. Give her a little patience and space, and she’ll reward you with affection that feels truly earned.

We focus on finding the best match for adoptable animals and their forever homes.
Our open hours are Monday – Saturday 11am-6pm, Sunday 11am-4pm (Summer hours). Adoptions end one hour prior to close.
The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, ID microchip, and current vaccinations. They have been wormed, de-flead, socialized and given lots of love.
