You have to come down to Newberg Animal Shelter to adopt any dog or cat. We have to make sure that all of our animals make it into the right home. This site is only informational and you’ll still need to make the trip to our shelter if you would like to adopt one our animals. We thank you for understanding and so do our animals.

Meet Freddy Purrger, the kitten who will invade your dreams… mostly because he’ll be demanding breakfast at 6 a.m.
Freddy is a cute little dream monster with a serious talent for turning playtime into cuddle time. He’s playful, curious, and always ready to chase a toy, pounce on a sibling, or find something new to get into. Don’t worry, his claws are much cuter than Freddy Krueger’s, and his favorite kind of nightmare is one where he gets cozy in a pile of blankets, purrs himself to sleep, and wakes up ready for more cuddles and tasty treats.
If you’re looking for a tiny horror icon to haunt your home with zoomies, purrs, cuddles, and ridiculously cute kitten antics, Freddy is your guy.
If you are interested in meeting Freddy, the shelter is open Monday through Saturday, 11 am – 6 pm, Sunday 11 am-4 pm (Summer Hours). We focus on finding the best match for adoptable animals and their forever homes.
Our open hours are Monday – Saturday 11am-6pm, Sunday 11am-4pm (Summer hours). Adoptions end one hour prior to close.
The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, ID microchip, and current vaccinations. They have been wormed, de-flead, socialized and given lots of love.
