You have to come down to Newberg Animal Shelter to adopt any dog or cat. We have to make sure that all of our animals make it into the right home. This site is only informational and you’ll still need to make the trip to our shelter if you would like to adopt one our animals. We thank you for understanding and so do our animals.

Hi, I’m Jackie, who’s just a year old and ready to find my forever home!
I’m a gentle girl with a calm demeanor and a sweet personality. I can be a little shy when meeting new people, so I’ll need some time and patience to feel comfortable and warm up to my new friends. Once I get to know you and realize I’m safe, you’ll get to see more of my loving personality and all the sweetness I have to offer.
I’m the perfect medium-sized companion for a cozy lap, a peaceful afternoon, or simply relaxing by your side. My ideal home will be one where I can take things at my own pace and build trust with my people. If you’re willing to give me the time and gentle encouragement I need, I may just become a wonderful and devoted companion.

We focus on finding the best match for adoptable animals and their forever homes.
Our open hours are Monday – Saturday 11am-6pm, Sunday 11am-4pm (Summer hours). Adoptions end one hour prior to close.
The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, ID microchip, and current vaccinations. They have been wormed, de-flead, socialized and given lots of love.
