You have to come down to Newberg Animal Shelter to adopt any dog or cat. We have to make sure that all of our animals make it into the right home. This site is only informational and you’ll still need to make the trip to our shelter if you would like to adopt one our animals. We thank you for understanding and so do our animals.

Meet Rusty!
Rusty is an adorable mixed breed puppy with a playful spark and a cuddly personality to match. We suspect he may be a Pointer and hound mix such as Italian Greyhound/Whippet, though his biggest breed trait right now seems to be “professional sweetheart.” Rusty enjoys playtime, attention, and curling up for snuggles after a busy day of puppy adventures.
Rusty is still growing and learning, so he will need a family prepared for all the work that comes with puppyhood. Training, socialization, potty training, and learning household manners are all part of the package. Puppies bring plenty of joy and laughter, but also a fair amount of chaos and responsibility. Rusty is looking for a home that understands the commitment and is ready to help him become the best dog he can be.
If you are interested in meeting Rusty, the shelter is open Monday through Saturday, 11 am – 6 pm, Sunday 11 am-4 pm (Summer Hours).

Our open hours are Monday – Saturday 11am-6pm, Sunday 11am-4pm (Summer hours). Adoptions end one hour prior to close.
The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, ID microchip, and current vaccinations. They have been wormed, de-flead, socialized and given lots of love.
