You have to come down to Newberg Animal Shelter to adopt any dog or cat. We have to make sure that all of our animals make it into the right home. This site is only informational and you’ll still need to make the trip to our shelter if you would like to adopt one our animals. We thank you for understanding and so do our animals.

Meet Shoyu!
Shoyu is a curious little black kitten with giant, absolutely adorable ears that seem to catch every sound—and every opportunity for fun. She’s friendly, inquisitive, and always ready to investigate what you’re doing (especially if it might involve snacks or toys).
This bright girl loves meeting people, exploring her surroundings, and showing off her playful side. Shoyu’s confidence and charm make her a joy to be around, and when playtime winds down, she’s happy to soak up affection and companionship.
If you’re looking for a sweet, outgoing kitten with a whole lot of personality packed into a tiny body (and some truly impressive ears), Shoyu might just be your perfect match.
If you are interested in meeting me, the shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday 11am – 5pm, Sunday 11am-4pm (Winter Hours).

Our open hours are Tuesday – Sunday 11am-5pm, Sunday 11am-4pm (Winter hours). Adoptions end one hour prior to close.
The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, ID microchip, and current vaccinations. They have been wormed, de-flead, socialized and given lots of love.
