You have to come down to Newberg Animal Shelter to adopt any dog or cat. We have to make sure that all of our animals make it into the right home. This site is only informational and you’ll still need to make the trip to our shelter if you would like to adopt one our animals. We thank you for understanding and so do our animals.

Hi, my name is Bonus!
I’m a bit shy at first, but once I get to know you, you’ll find I’m quite the sweetheart. I’m a laid-back fella who enjoys the simple things—a cozy corner, the quiet hum of life around me, and the occasional treat (or two, if you’re offering).
I’m FIV positive, but that doesn’t stop me from living a full, happy life! Because I don’t get along with other cats, I need to be the only cat in my home. I also need to be an indoor-only kitty to help keep me healthy and safe.
I promise to fill your home with gentle purrs and mellow moments. Won’t you consider making me a part of your family? I promise to be the Bonus love you didn’t know you needed!
If you are interested in meeting me, the shelter is open Monday through Saturday 11am – 6pm, Sunday 11am – 4pm.

We focus on finding the best match for adoptable animals and their forever homes.
Our open hours are Monday – Saturday 11am-6pm, Sunday 11am-4pm (Summer hours). Adoptions end one hour prior to close.
The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, ID microchip, and current vaccinations. They have been wormed, de-flead, socialized and given lots of love.
