You have to come down to Newberg Animal Shelter to adopt any dog or cat. We have to make sure that all of our animals make it into the right home. This site is only informational and you’ll still need to make the trip to our shelter if you would like to adopt one our animals. We thank you for understanding and so do our animals.

Meet Biggie!
Don’t let the name fool you—Biggie may be medium-sized, but his personality is absolutely larger than life!
This adorable Cattle Dog mix (with what we suspect is a healthy dash of Beagle or hound) is full of charm, character, and plenty to say. Biggie is a very talkative guy who loves to “chat” with his people, whether he’s sharing his opinions, announcing that it’s time for a walk, or simply joining the conversation. His happy hound-like voice is just one of the many things that makes him so special.
Biggie absolutely loves people and is always ready to make a new friend. He’s affectionate, fun-loving, and enjoys soaking up attention from everyone he meets. He also gets along well with most other dogs, making him a great companion for many canine friends.
Like any clever Cattle Dog mix, Biggie is smart and curious—and he can occasionally put those talents to work as a bit of an escape artist! Because of this, he’ll need a securely fenced yard or a family committed to keeping him safely on leash during walks and adventures. Once he’s safely by your side, he’s happiest exploring the world with his favorite people.

Our open hours are Monday – Saturday 11am-6pm, Sunday 11am-4pm (Summer hours). Adoptions end one hour prior to close.
The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, ID microchip, and current vaccinations. They have been wormed, de-flead, socialized and given lots of love.
