Bear, 2-yr old male Heeler Mix (39 lbs). There is no way to put Bear’s personality in words. He is a little monkey! Loves to hop, skip, jump, soar, bounce, fly – he’s quite the athlete. And oh so nice, loves his humans and has not met a dog he didn’t want to be BFF’s with. Bear was surrendered when his owners decided he needed more space (aka a yard) but they said he is housebroken, good with older children, and other dogs (his size or smaller). Although, he should go to a home without cats. He’s a dynamo and is going to do best with an active family – no Netflix marathons – he prefers the real thing, the 26.2 mile kind.
Bear’s adoption fee is $250. He is neutered, microchipped, and current on his vaccinations.

We focus on finding the best match for adoptable animals and are not first-come first-served.

If you are interested in learning more about and meeting any adoptable pet, please come in to the shelter during our open adoption hours Wednesday – Saturday 11am to 6pm.

We are located at:
1591 S Sandoz Rd

Some maps will route you to 1591 S Avalon Park, it is the same location.

If you have another dog in the home, we require you, your family members, and your existing dog(s) to come and meet the dog at the shelter.

The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, ID microchip, and current vaccinations. They have been wormed, de-flead, socialized and given lots of love.
