You have to come down to Newberg Animal Shelter to adopt any dog or cat. We have to make sure that all of our animals make it into the right home. This site is only informational and you’ll still need to make the trip to our shelter if you would like to adopt one our animals. We thank you for understanding and so do our animals.

Meet Hina!
Hina may have come to us from Hawaii with paperwork listing her as an Australian Kelpie mix, but we think she probably has a little Mountain Cur, Catahoula, or pittie mixed in, too. Whatever her breed combination may be, one thing is certain—she is 100% adorable!
This sweet adult girl has a gentle heart and loves nothing more than spending time with her favorite people. Whether you’re heading out for a long walk, exploring a new trail, or simply relaxing at home, Hina is happiest when she’s by your side. She’s the kind of dog who forms a close bond with her person and enjoys being part of whatever you’re doing.
Hina has the perfect balance of adventure and affection. She appreciates getting out for daily walks to stretch her legs and explore and then soak up love and attention on the couch with her person once the day is done. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will happily join you on life’s adventures and then snuggle up nearby, Hina may be the perfect match.

Our open hours are Monday – Saturday 11am-6pm, Sunday 11am-4pm (Summer hours). Adoptions end one hour prior to close.
The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, ID microchip, and current vaccinations. They have been wormed, de-flead, socialized and given lots of love.
